Placement Testing Accommodations

If you have a disability and need accommodations for placement testing at Youngstown State University, we’re here to help. Please follow the steps below to request support.

 

Note: Requesting placement test accommodations is a separate process from requesting ongoing classroom accommodations.

How to Request Placement Test Accommodations

To make sure your accommodations are ready in time, please complete the following steps at least 2 weeks before your scheduled test:

 

Step 1: Complete the Online Registration form

Fill out the Accessibility Services Registration Form

 

Step 2: Submit Documentation of Your Disability

To approve your request, we must receive appropriate documentation of your disability. 

 

Step 3: Wait for Confirmation From Our Office

A staff member from Accessibility Services will:

  • Review your form and documentation
  • Email your YSU Email Address with:
    • The accommodations approved for your placement test
    • Your next steps

 

In some cases, additional coordination may be needed for certain accommodations. If that's the case, we'll explain everything clearly in your follow-up email.
