Williamson College hosts accounting/audit sessions Dec. 9 and 10
The Williamson College of Business Administration hosts the YSU Accounting and Auditing Update on 8:30 a.m. to noon, Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 9 and 10.

The course covers relevant pronouncements, exposure drafts, and other guidance recently issued in the accounting, auditing, review, compilation and preparation engagement arenas, including recently issued FASB, PCAOB, ARSC and ASB standards and guidance.
Eight hours of CPE for Ohio and Pennsylvania are available.
Mike Hamilton, the presenter, was an audit partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers, in charge of his audit and tax practice to U. S. electric and natural gas industry clients. He gained significant bankruptcy experience working with a large number of bankrupt entities during the 1990s and early 2000s. Upon his retirement from PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2003, Hamilton became a senior managing director at FTI Consulting, specializing in restructuring assignments, interim management assignments and bankruptcy work, primarily related to the energy industry. He left FTI Consulting in 2007 to become the chair and chief executive of MMC Energy Inc., a NASDAQ listed company that he took through liquidation in late 2009. Hamilton is a certified public accountant, licensed in California, the District of Columbia, New Jersey and New York. He is accredited in business valuation, certified in financial forensics, certified in enterprise and intangible valuation and is a chartered global management accountant – all by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
