Tax, Accounting/Auditing updates Nov. 15, Dec. 11

The Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University hosts the Youngstown Annual Tax Update Friday, Nov. 15, and the Youngstown Accounting and Auditing Update Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Both seminars will be in Williamson Hall, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with registration at 8 a.m. To register and for more information, visit www.ysu.edu/taxseminars. Youngstown Annual Tax Update presents what’s new and what has changed in the federal income tax arena, providing up-to-the-minute guidance on the latest tax legislation, court decisions and IRS pronouncements and practical insights and valuable tax-saving strategies from AICPA’s seasoned tax professionals. The presenter is Kevin Krantz, CPA, principal at Krantz & Company CPA LLC, in Westlake, Ohio. For nearly 30 years prior to his current position, Krantz worked for northeast Ohio regional CPA firms providing a variety of tax services to clients. Krantz graduated from the University of Akron with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and returned to complete a master’s of Taxation. He has authored articles g in The Tax Advisor, National Health Advisor, among others.

Youngstown Accounting and Auditing Update keeps abreast of changes in accounting and auditing, covering pronouncements, exposure drafts and other guidance issued in the accounting, auditing, review, compilation and preparation engagement arenas. It also helps you identify and apply recently issued FASB, PCAOB, ARSC, and ASB standards and guidance. Seminar leader is Bruce Nunnally, a partner and former director of Auditing at a regional, top 25 accounting firm. He has more than 35 years’ experience and currently serves on the AICPA PCPS Technical Issues Committee. Nunnally has been awarded the Outstanding Discussion Leader by the Florida Institute of CPAs. He is a member of the AICPA and the Florida Institute of CPAs and a licensed CPA in Florida, Texas and Alabama.
