  • How to Collaborate with Student Government - Rossi Room

    Are you interested in collaborating with Student Government but don’t know where to start? This session will act as a discussion regarding funding and marketing opportunities, ways to gain money, volunteer hours, and other leadership opportunities.

  • Managing Organization Finances - Schwebel Reception Room

    Strong financial practices are imperative for your organization’s strength, stability, and sustainability. Therefore, it is important for student organization leaders to understand their responsibility and potential liability with being entrusted with other’s money. The goal of this session is to discuss practical approaches to fiscal responsibility.

  • Leadership for New, Newish, and Seasoned Members - James Gallery

    No Cap! Do you or your organization need some bussin leadership techniques to help motivate others? This presentation is FIRE and will be an interactive discussion that will allow you to speak with others on the ever-changing rules of leadership. Come lead your Fam and slay with initiative, creative solutions and ways to motivate others. Others will be simpin on the way you are able to lead by bringing new opportunities for us to redefine what it means to be a leader. The ideas we’ll discuss will slap by assisting in daily operations, strategic planning and embracing your mission and vision for your area.

  • New Officer & CampusGroups Training - Jones Room

    If you are new to an officer position this semester then this is the session for you. Take advantage of the opportunity to meet fellow new officers, learn campus resources and how to maneuver through campus whether it be for scheduling meetings, planning events, recruiting new members or simply discussing fundraising opportunities. This session will also show you how to navigate the new CampusGroups system. Take advantage of this opportunity to see how the system can track your membership, send out e-mails, post events, and the many other features.

  • Understanding Financial Appropriations - Rossi Room

    This presentation will help student leaders understand the rules and procedures regarding Financial Appropriations from the Student Government Association. Additionally, we will discuss the necessary qualifications to receive funding, the application process, and how to use your funding appropriately. This session will also inform student leaders of important components of the Financial Path as they relate to their student organization and how to take advantage of the opportunities funding can provide for your group’s success. Organizations planning to apply for SGA funding should send a representative to one of SGA’s Funding Sessions.

    Is your student organization planning to take a trip? This session will help you navigate the process outlined in the University Student Travel Policy, review all of the forms required for travel approval, and discuss the details of processing payment for expenses which have been appropriated university funds.
