Scholars discuss contemporary representations of gender, sexuality, race and ethnicity in television and movies. Location: Presidents Suite, Kilcawley Center.
Friday, March 24, noon to 12:50 p.m., Poetry Jam
Through the use of language, we spread love, feminism, and empowerment through the words of YSU’s very own poets. Location: James Gallery, Kilcawley Center.
Karmetria Burton, general manager of Supplier Diversity for Delta Air Lines, speaks in the James Gallery of Kilcawley Center. Burton’s goal is to develop a quality Best-In-Class Supplier Diversity program that makes Delta an industry leader. Burton’s efforts have been recognized by the Greater Women’s Business Council (GWBC) as the Advocate of the Year. In the past, she earned the 2005 Trailblazer Award presented by the Black Business Professionals and Entrepreneurs.
Nakabayashi, a former member of the Japan House of Representative and a published author, will be in the DeBartolo Stadium Club. She is currently an associate professor at Waseda University in Tokyo.
