Williamson College inducts 49 into Beta Gamma Sigma
The Youngstown State University Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma in the Williamson College of Business Administration inducted 49 business students during a ceremony earlier this spring.
Beta Gamma Sigma is the world’s premier business honorary reserved exclusively for schools accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. BGS spans more than 190 countries. To be eligible, business students must be in the top 10 percent of the sophomore, junior or senior classes or the top 20 percent of the master's program.
Students installed include: Nicholas Bianco, Joseph Capezzuto, Gianna Hlebovy, Erica Lehn, Nichole Noday, Jeffrey Senediak, and Ryan Sheffield of Austintown; John Anzevino, Simone Comer, and Emilee Smrek of Boardman; Michael Rea of Campbell; Ricardo Cruz, Katherine Gamble, Laura Lamanna, and Seth Opladen of Canfield; Luke Leonard of Chagrin Falls; Madison Chapman of Columbiana; Zachary Hall of Cortland; Adam Manley of Dalton; Jessica Dohy, Angela Frazis, and Leslie Phillips of Girard; Kendyl Buckley and Karlis Larson of Howland; James Ellcessor, Kent Kroynovich, and Dillon O'Hara of Hubbard; Ann Du Chen of Hudson; John Bates of Kinsman; Kathleen Weaver of Liberty; Connor Fortune of Mc Donald; Jenna Binsley of New Springfield; Ryan Turnbull of North Lima; Brooke Aukerman of Orrville; Colin Barrett, Lauren Burt, and Marcy Grossen of Poland; Jarin Vaughn of Shelby, Roger Luoma and Luz Helena Russi Beltran of Streetsboro; John Huegel of Warren; Madison Harrington of Youngstown; Casie Scott of Sharon, PA; Victoria Crankovic of Wexford, PA; Anupama Pokharel of Pokhara, Nepal; and Ha Hoang of Hue, Viet Nam.
In addition, three students were given 2nd Recognition Certificates for meeting BGS standards as both an undergraduate and now as a graduate student: Courtney Lockshaw and Amanda Slattery of Boardman and Vincent Krpicak of Poland.
The ceremony marked YSU’s 21st induction. The Williamson College has now inducted 920 students. In recognition of the chapter’s high acceptance rate and accomplishments, the WCBA chapter received the Outstanding Chapter Bronze Award. In addition, advisor William G. Vendemia, professor of Management, was recognized as Beta Gamma Sigma Advisor of the Year.
