Deadline nears for YSU classified union scholarship

Application deadline is March 31 for the Youngstown State University Association of Classified Employees scholarship. “As an organization, we appreciate and acknowledge the importance of education,” said Connie Frisby, administrative assistant in the Office of Computer Science and Information and YSU-ACE president. “We are here to serve the students and this is a great way to give back to the students and the university.” The award is open to a current full-time student employed in a student position at YSU. Applicants must have completed at least 30 semester hours at YSU and have documented financial need. Applicants must submit an essay discussing the value of his/her employment at YSU. Two letters of recommendation from YSU-ACE members should also be submitted.
