Eight members of the Youngstown State University chapter of the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society attended the international organization’s Global Leadership Summit in Orlando, Fla. Students attending the summit were Bryan Schiraldi of Lowellville, vice president of Programming; Daniel Belinky of Boardman; Jon Hutnyan of Canfield, president; Katina Landgraff of Washington, Pa.; Kayla Cerimele of Canfield, vice president of Membership/PR; Leah Finnerty of Poland, vice president of Alumni Relations; Nicole Pavlansky of Boardman; and Briana Scott of Youngstown. The event brings together high-achieving business school students from around the world. Students participated in hands-on development programs, relationship building activities and engaging talks, culminating in a team competition. Membership in Beta Gamma Sigma is the highest recognition a business student anywhere in the world can receive in an undergraduate or master’s program at a school accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Only 6 percent of business schools are accredited by AACSB. The YSU Beta Gamma Sigma chapter was installed on June 11, 2000. To date, the chapter has inducted 646 students into this prestigious organization.
