YSU students attend sales competition
Students Dustin Hudak, Kennedy Stanko, Daniel Raver and Anthony Nakley represented Youngstown State University at the Inaugural Ohio Collegiate Sales Competition at Cleveland State University.
Cleveland State and Kent State students also participated in the event in which they developed, prepared and delivered sales call presentations acting as representatives of the Tom James Co., the world's largest provider of custom and bespoke clothing.
Joshua Smith, the haberdasher at Tom James, was the lead sponsor of the event and provided winning students with a high-quality custom apparel from the bespoke tailors at Tom James of Cleveland.
The event included a brief keynote presentation by Bernie Moreno, the Cleveland-area business leader and a well-known advocate of blockchain technology who launched “Blockland” last year in an effort to make Cleveland a blockchain technology hub.
The next Ohio Collegiate Sales Competition will be in Fall 2020 at one of the three sponsoring universities. Colleges and universities in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania seeking to participate should contact John Rossi, director of the Professional Sales Center at YSU’s Williamson College of Business at Youngstown State University, 330-941-3062.
