YSU Co-sponsors Youngstown Works hiring event

The YSU Office of Career Exploration & Development in collaboration with Youngstown Works will be co-sponsoring a hiring event for the campus community at the Stambaugh Auditorium, at 1000 Fifth Ave., on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m - 2 p.m.

This event is open to the public and free parking will be offered; for any students attending, this event will be within walking distance of the campus, but will still be offered free parking for those preferring to drive. Over 50 local employers will be present to discuss opportunities available within the community, with a variety of positions ranging from part-time, full-time, seasonal, and/or internships. A few additional details for interested participants can be found below:

• A semi-casual dress code is preferred, but business formal attire is also encouraged
• Resumes are not required, but are helpful to have readily available for employers
• Select employers offer tuition assistance as an employee benefit for students
• All student majors and class levels are welcome

The Office of Career Exploration & Developing will also be offering prep sessions prior to the event for anyone interested in learning more about making a great impression, starting a conversation with an employer, or other ways to refine professional skills.
