U.S. Export Controls and Compliance Course set to start Aug. 23

The Ohio Small Business Development Center and Export Assistance Network at Youngstown State University will host the U.S. Export Controls and Compliance Course, “How to Implement and Maintain an Effective Export Compliance Program,” 5:45 to 8:30 p.m., Thurday evenings for eight weeks, from Aug. 23 through Oct. 11 in the Williamson College of Business Administration at YSU.

The course, designed to address the needs of business professionals seeking to gain the necessary export regulation knowledge and resources to implement an export compliance and management program, will cover topics such as: CFR 22 International Traffic in Arms Regulation (ITAR); CFR 15 Export Administration Regulations (EAR); Treasury Department Regulations Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC); Streamline export compliance best practices; Export Compliance Flow Chart & Classification process; changes to USML Categories I, II, III; export compliance manual-Core Elements and hands-on approach; practical examples and exercises.

Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of completion from the WCBA and NASBITE and 10 credits for NASBITE CGBP (CE Credits) for certification renewal.
