SBDC at YSU launches Global Investment Hub
The Ohio Small Business Development Center (SBDC) and Export Assistance Network (EAN) at Youngstown State University hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony Oct. 27, in partnership with the Columbiana Port Authority, to introduce a new Global Investment Hub located in Leetonia, Ohio.
The SBDC at YSU has accelerated business growth, helped create jobs and contributed to the economy by providing consulting and training to existing companies and new start-ups throughout the region for over 35 years.
With the addition of the EAN and Ohio APEX Accelerator, each branch specializing in a distinct domain to better support business growth, the SBDC leverages its expertise and network of resources through student interns and graduate assistants working at the Center, and student/faculty class projects in the Williamson College of Business Administration.
As an initiative to expand into a larger market, the Global Investment Hub was created to provide value to companies outside of the US with space in an industrial facility, which will include access to the region’s skilled workforce and supply chain.
