Renowned pianist presents free recital, master class on campus

Russian-born pianist Kirill Gliadkovsky visits Youngstown State University’s Dana School of Music on Tuesday, Oct. 30, for a recital at 7:30 p.m. in Bliss Recital Hall followed by a master class.

Both events are free and open to the public.

Since making his first public appearance in Moscow at the age of six, Gliadkovsky has toured extensively on three continents, performing piano and organ recitals and as a soloist with orchestras in various cities in Russia, including at Moscow's Bolshoi, Maliy and Rachmaninoff Halls, St. Petersburg Philharmonic's Glinka Hall, as well as in major European and Asian cities. He has recorded seven CDs. 

His recital program includes Fantasy in D Minor KV 397 by Mozart; Sonata No.17, Op. 31 No. 2 in D Minor ("Tempest") by Beethoven; Intermezzo in E Flat Minor and Ballade in G Minor from Op. 118, both by Brahms.
