Mezzo-Soprano Linda Di Fiore presents Masterclass Nov. 4

Linda Di Fiore, mezzo-sopranoLinda Di Fiore, mezzo-soprano, will present a masterclass 3 p.m., Thur., Nov. 4, in Bliss Recital Hall at Youngstown State University. Masks are required in all YSU buildings.

A Regents Professor Emeritus from the University of North Texas, and recently retired from the University of California-Santa Barbara where she served as Area Head of Voice, Di Fiore is on the voice faculty at the DePaul University School of Music where she teaches voice and opera.

She is the voice teacher for the Opera Santa Barbara Studio Artists and maintains a private studio on the west coast as well as in Austin, TX. She has performed professionally for over forty years as a soloist in opera, oratorio, recital, and musical theatre. Her career has included guest performances with organizations nationally and internationally.

An active song recitalist, she has presented master classes at numerous universities and has taught students who have gone on to prestigious graduate programs and careers. Di Fiore holds the distinction of Master Teacher in the National Association of Teachers of Singing. She is also in demand as an adjudicator for national and regional level competitions.
