Excellence Training Center at YSU hosts Ohio Manufacturing Day event on campus

Ohio Manufacturing Day at YSU will take place on Friday, Oct. 6 beginning at 8:30 a.m. through 4:00 p.m. at the ETC located on 360 W. Commerce Street; this event is free and open to the public.

Ohio MFG Day is an annual national event executed at the local level supported by thousands of manufacturers as they host students, teachers, parents, job seekers and other local community members at open houses, plant tours and presentations designed to showcase modern manufacturing technology and careers.

Key speakers will be present to discuss modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers, with refreshments and networking opportunities. Key Speakers include: Ken Pettit, US Navy program analyst, TPP network coach; Bob Smith, director DON SBIR/STTR Programs; Eunice Adams, NASA Office of Small Business Programs Glenn Research Center; and Tom Doehne, NASA GRC Technology Transfer Office.

Speakers will begin their presentations at 9:15 a.m., following opening remarks from ETC Director, Jackie Ruller, and will discuss a variety of topics centered around their experiences working within organizations such as the United States Navy and NASA.
