Dean Licata chairs AACSB Review Committee
Betty Jo Licata, dean of the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University, has been appointed chair of the International Continuous Improvement Review Committee of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.
CIRC oversees processes for continuation of business accreditation, to ensure consistency of standards application and equity of recommendations across peer review teams and across programs. As chair of CIRC, Licata also serves on the Business Accreditation Policy Committee, which oversees policy related to AACSB business accreditation and quality assurance services.
Licata joined YSU as dean of the Williamson College of Business Administration in 1995. The WCBA earned accreditation by AACSB in 2000 and extension of accreditation in 2011 and 2014. As dean of an AACSB accredited institution, Licata has served as a member or chair of more than two dozen peer review teams.
AACSB International provides quality assurance, business education intelligence, and professional development services to more than 1,600 member organizations and more than 800 accredited business schools worldwide. The global organization has offices in Tampa, Fla.; Amsterdam, the Netherlands; and Singapore. Less than 5 percent of business schools worldwide have earned AACSB accreditation.
