Recruitment Schedule

We are glad you are interested in going through recruitment! Please Register for the Recruitment process (if you have not already) so that we can pair you with a recruitment counselor to help you guide you through the process. This year we have plenty of options to help you fit finding the right chapter into your schedule.

Don’t forget, you MUST meet each of our chapters during any of these events held between September 17 and September 26 to be eligible for Preference. You can choose to attend one recruitment session, or two, or all of them. These sessions are not required, but beneficial for helping you get to know all of your options. Also, please make sure that that you can attend on Saturday, September 27 to get placed with a chapter. The more time you take to get to know our each of groups, the more comfortable you’ll be.

Learn about what fraternities and sororities do on a daily basis and meet the chapters. Our members hold leadership positions in numerous student organizations and carry out top philanthropy efforts annually. We are confident you can find a home within Greek Life and ensure a true Penguin Experience.

NPC Sorority Info Session

This session is a chance for you learn more about our sororities and their sisterhood. These sessions are not mandatory, but attendance is highly recommended! Whether you’re 10% or 100% sure you want to join a sorority, the information sessions are a great introduction to Greek Life

Sorority Recruitment Game Night

Check out our first Open House round! Everyone will have the chance to meet all of our chapters in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy a game night. Bring questions and be ready to share about yourself as well. Before you leave be sure to talk with your recruitment counselor to go over your schedule to ensure you are ready for the rest of recruitment.

Sorority Recruitment Sisterhood Night

Time: 6pm-8pm
Location: McKay Auditorium, Beeghly Hall

Joining a sorority leads to lifelong relationships and unending support from your new sisters. You’ll get to talk with each chapter about the meaning of sisterhood. This will not only encompass what these individuals will do for you, but what you’ll be able to contribute as a unique individual. Don’t forget to check-in with your recruitment counselor before you go.

Sorority Recruitment Philanthropy Night

Time: 6pm-8pm
Location: McKay Auditorium, Beeghly Hall

This night’s focus will be on Philanthropy and all we do to give back to our national and local communities. During this event also plan to come with questions about what Sorority Life is all about and be sure to share about yourself too. This casual setting will allow you to talk to each organization. We encourage you to take time to visit each group for the same amount of time to get the most out of your experience. Before you leave be sure to talk with your recruitment counselor.

NPC Sorority Recruitment Values Night

Time: 5pm-8pm
Location: McKay Auditorium, Beeghly Hall

Here’s one more chance to meet and greet with members from each our chapters before Preference and Bid Day. During this event each sorority will have the opportunity to share their mission and values, and provide some insight into the ideals they stand for, and how they link to your individual values and beliefs. Just one last reminder that you MUST visit all chapters to be eligible to attend Preference Day and continue in the recruitment process. It will also be very important to check out with your Recruitment Counselor before you go to ensure all paperwork is ready for Saturday.

NPC Sorority Recruitment: Preference & Bid Day

Time: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
Location: Coaches Court (room 207), Beeghly Center

The last round of recruitment, Preference is a sentimental ceremony in which the actives demonstrate to the potential members their bonds of sisterhood and what their sorority truly means to them. Potential Members are included in the ceremony and should use this event to help make their decision concerning which sorority makes them feel the most comfortable. In the afternoon we end with the most exciting part of the process where new members will join their sisters in a celebratory sisterhood event. Business casual attire is expected in the morning, but bring a comfortable change of clothes for the afternoon activities.
