About Event

Free Eye Exams for YSU Students! Clear Eyes on Campus is a free eye exam and glasses event designed to provide essential vision care to students. Upon arrival, participants will check in at a designated table, where volunteers will assist with the sign-in process and provide information about the services offered. No appointment is necessary, but exams will be conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. A fully equipped mobile eye care van will be on-site, serving as a clinic where licensed optometrists will conduct comprehensive eye exams. Before entering the van, students will undergo a vision screening performed by trained volunteers to determine whether a full eye exam is needed. Those requiring further assessment will proceed to the mobile clinic for a complete evaluation. Students receiving new prescriptions will have the opportunity to select from a range of free eyeglass frames. Depending on availability, some glasses may be provided on-site, while others will be ordered for later pickup, with distribution details given at the event. Additionally, informational resources on long-term eye care and local vision health services will be available to ensure students have access to continued support beyond this event. This initiative aims to break down financial and accessibility barriers to eye care, ensuring that all students have the opportunity to maintain good vision and overall well-being. Whether you need a routine exam, a new prescription, or simply more information about eye health, this event provides a valuable opportunity to address your vision care needs at no cost.
