The John J. McDonough Museum of Art, Youngstown State University's Center of Contemporary Art, is excited to announce the opening of our fall season with four exhibitions. Arron Foster's In_A_Sense, Aislinn Janek's Landscape as a Form of Knowledge, Michael Roman's Negus Weighting on a Miracle and Justin Sorensen's June 13th will be on display September 2-October 25. A reception for all artists takes place on Friday, September 5 from 5-7pm at the McDonough.

YSU's Dana School of Music invites you to attend its weekly Music at Noon Series. For the past 4 decades, residents of Youngstown and the surrounding communities have had the opportunity to experience the combined magic of music and art on Wednesdays when The Butler Institute of American Art, the Dana School of Music, and University Theatre present the weekly Music at Noon Series. Surrounded by breathtaking American art in numerous galleries, faculty, students, and guest artists take center stage in The Butler’s Beecher Court, and audience members are treated to selections from multiples genres that range from classical to jazz, world music to contemporary pieces, pop tunes to favorites from The Great American Songbook, and more. The tremendously popular Music at Noon Series promises a dynamic and ever-changing program. Life Group is a space for students to build community and connections with others at YSU. The desire is for college students to bring their questions about faith, Christianity, etc to this space where discussion is facilitated in a safe and inclusive environment.
