Youngstown State University is committed to making its electronic and information technologies, ("EIT") which includes all information provided though the University’s website, the University’s online learning or e-learning environment and its course management systems, for instance Blackboard technology, accessible to students, prospective students, employees, guests and visitors with disabilities, particularly those with visual, hearing and manual impairments or who otherwise require the use of assistive technology to access information provided through the University’s Digital Accessibility.

Youngstown State University is committed to taking the action necessary to be in compliance with the requirements of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Section 504), 29 U.S.C. Section 794, and its implementing regulation at 34 C.F.R. Part 104, and Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (Title II), 42 U.S.C. Section 12131 et seq., and its implementing regulation at 28 C.F.R. Part 35.

    Within 120 Days of Posting the Plan or by July 30, 2017 YSU will submit to OCR documentation (URLs) of the Accessibility Policy, the EIT Project Plan, documentation on EIT trainers, and students trained on EIT.  
    July 30, 2017 YSU will make EIT accessible to individuals with disabilities and document to OCR certifying that YSU’s EIT is in compliance with the EIT Policy the certification must be obtained by a third party web accessibility consultant or employee of the University with knowledge  
    July 30, 2017 YSU to provide report OCR describing its effort for the 2016-2017 academic year complying with the EIT Policy and EIT Plan  
    July 30, 2018 YSU to provide report to OCR describing its effort for the 2017-2018 academic year complying with the EIT Policy and EIT Plan
