Pre-K Early Childhood Associate

A Quality, convenient, and affordable degree, designed around your schedule. 

This associate degree leads to Associate Licensure in Pre-Kindergarten Education. Graduates are qualified to teach in or manage licensed daycare and preschool programs, and they are eligible for associate pre-kindergarten Teacher Licensure after passing the Pre-k Praxis examination. Most of the coursework can be applied toward a bachlor's degree for Family and Consumer Science Instructor or Early Childhood Education.

Program Information

YSU's ece aas (aka "The Pre-k program)

  1. All students in the associate program take courses in designing and implementing appropriate lessons, working with families in the educational process, assessing child development, and learning ethical guidelines and professional standards. 
  2. All new, updated online courses provide the most current ECE content and field experiences
  3. Use of affordable, and even open source (free) textbooks in courses to decrease total costs even more
  4. All other course content provided for free
