The 2025-2026 new student application will open in January 2025
Are you a New or Continuing CCP Student?
- A new student never enrolled in a CCP class at YSU, even if they have applied and attended orientation previously. You will follow the directions below to apply.
- A continuing student has completed or is currently enrolled in at least one CCP course with YSU. Follow these directions to submit your continuing student form.
How do we define a home school student?
- A home school student has a Superintendent’s Exemption Notice from the school district the student would have attended. This notice states that the family will be responsible for teaching the student at home instead of being enrolled at the school district for instruction.
- If you are enrolled in a public school district but enrolled in remote learning through the school district, you are still considered a public school student.
- You are a public-school student if you are enrolled in an online school, such as Buckeye Online School for Success, Ohio Connections Academy, or Ohio Virtual Academy.
- If you are unsure what category you fall in, contact our office for help before you apply.
Before You Apply
- Discuss the program with your parents/guardians. Review the College Credit Plus (CCP) online brochure. In addition to valuable program information, there are also great resources to help navigate your pathway to college.
- Please see your CCP coordinator (list by county) if you have questions about the program.
- Understand Eligibility, Admission & Course Placement: Review the Eligibility, Admission, and Course Placement information. If you are unsure whether or not you qualify for the YSU CCP program, please get in touch with your school counselor to discuss other CCP options.
- Your school CCP coordinator reviews course options and high school graduation requirements with you to determine what courses to register for. If you are taking a campus or online course, the Campus Education Plan is completed at this time. You or your school counselor can submit this form to our office by email (ccp@ysu.edu) or fax (330-941-2446).
- Notify your school (or the state if you are a non-public or home-school student) of your intent to participate in CCP by April 1, 2025.
