Budget Advisory Council

The Budget Advisory Council helps shape the University's priorities and achieve the goals outlined in the YSU 2020 Strategic Plan. The Council serves in an advisory capacity to the President regarding budget issues and funding priorities. Council members represent the entire campus community, and communicate to and provide feedback from their various constituent groups.

Youngstown State University is an open access university that believes in the importance of educational opportunity. We demonstrate that belief by admitting students with ACT scores below 17 and giving those students academic support when they begin their academic career.

Youngstown State University’s Financial Aid Night is a community service event that provides helpful information to the parents of students in grades 11 and 12 planning to attend college.  The program is being held just in time to prepare for YSU’s February 1st (and many other university’s) Free Application for Federal Student Aid priority filing deadlines.
