What is supplemental instruction (SI)?

Supplemental Instruction (SI) is a proactive learning enhancement service. The SI process is designed to organize and improve the ways in which students prepare for class outside of class. This service is paired with a course to provide students with a systematic and disciplined approach for processing the course material assigned by the professor.

Summer Bridge Program

What is summer bridge program?

The Summer Bridge Program at Youngstown State University is a free one-week program designed to provide traditional-aged multicultural students the opportunity to become more familiar with the academic and social experiences most often encountered by first-year students.

Graduate Council

Duties of the YSU Graduate Council includes: review and make recommendations to the Dean of Graduate Studies and/or the Graduate Faculty on policies and regulations of the College of Graduate Studies including the composition nature and functions of Graduate Council review and approve/disapprove all new graduate courses and graduate programs including changes in courses and programs review and make recommendations to the Dean of Graduate Studies on nominations for membership in the graduate faculty make recommendations on specific problems of College of Graduate Studies operations properly
