The John J. McDonough Museum of Art is located directly across from the Butler and features modern and contemporary art made by local artist and YSU students. This building also holds classes for art education.
With 15 miles of foot trails, 20 miles of drives, as well as lakes and waterfalls, Mill Creek Park is a gem within the city of Youngstown. Stop by and tour around Lanterman’s Mill to learn of the history of the park and Mill itself. This park also features kayaks, paddle boats, a rose garden, and a view of the city.

Andrews Student Recreation and Wellness Center is a 100,000sq ft. facility located right here on campus. The Rec Center offers all types of cardio and weight lifting machines, as well as free weights and exercise classes. You can purchase day passes, week passes, and even team-building events, which can incorporate high ropes course, rock wall, and other fun activities for everyone attending your event.
Dining Services provided by Chartwells offers cafeteria style meals located at the Christman Dining Commons on the north end of campus, as well as catered meals. Meals offered include breakfast, continental breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and snack options.
The Department of Housing offers residence hall style rooms and apartment style rooms to accommodate individuals attending your event. The Department of Housing also offers linens to make your groups’ stay here comfortable and relaxing.
Cafaro House is a residence hall on the north end of campus, which features 2-room, 4-room, and 9-room suites, all of which have common areas to relax after your event.
Weller House is apartment style housing, while Wick House is a historic mansion converted to residence style rooms to accommodate students and event attendees alike. However, limited spaces are available so if you would like housing in one of these buildings be sure to book quickly.
Kilcawley House is a Residence Hall right in the heart of campus your attendees could stay in and be close to it all.
Located on the north end of campus next to Cafaro House, Lyden House is another Residence Hall your attendees could call home throughout your Summer Event.
