Directed by Dr. Kate Ferguson, the Pep Band performs at all of the YSU men’s and women’s home basketball games, as well as Horizon League Conference tournament games. The band's instrumentation includes flutes, clarinets, mellophones, trumpets, trombones, baritones, saxophones, tubas, drums, auxiliary percussion, and bass guitar. Members are paid a stipend per game for participation. Auditions for the the 2026 Pep Band will be in October 2025. If you have questions about auditions for Pep Band, please contact Dr. Ferguson.
