YSU Athletic Bands

All Youngstown State University students have the opportunity to perform with the YSU Marching Band (A.K.A. Marching Pride) and Pep Band, which are some of the most visible and active ensembles on campus. These groups not only provide participants with a dynamic educational and musical experience but also allow them to be in a vibrant and tightly knit community.

  The YSU Marching Pride Alumni Band is returning in Fall 2025 and will be performing in the YSU homecoming parade and football game!

  Every year, the YSU Athletic Band program hosts several events in which high school students are invited to participate, including three this year.

Marching Pride Membership

Membership in the Marching Pride is open to ALL YSU students regardless of major. From engineering, finance, business, to nursing and music majors, a musical home can be found for all Penguins! For specific questions and information call (330) 941-3635 or email at bands@ysu.edu.
