Graduate Student Early Alert Coordinator

Minimum Qualifications: Graduate student in a counseling, student affairs, or school psychology program or other related area with some knowledge of learning centers and early alert programs. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Must also be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Supervision: Will report directly to the director of the Center for Student Progress

Job Duties:

Navigate the Starfish Early Alert system

Does outreach to students that have been flagged in the Starfish system. Outreach would include phone calls, text messages, post cards and emails.

Makes referrals based on student needs.

Responds to flags by entering follow-up information in the Starfish system.

Communicates with faculty regarding Starfish flags.

Communicates with referral sources regarding referrals made to the student.

Organizes excel spreadsheet with all outreach information.

Meets with students to assess needs and make referrals.

Shares information with faculty and other staff as needed

Other duties as assigned.

Be willing to work 12 - 15 hours each week

Rate of pay: $12.00 per hour
