Thank you for your interest in volunteering to assist with events involving YSU College Credit Plus. We often have opportunities throughout the year for prior CCP students to become CCP Penguin Ambassadors and volunteer at some of our CCP events. The hours you volunteer can also be counted towards your service hours for the Honors College, classes, or other organizations you are a member of that may require service hours (if applicable).
CCP Penguin Ambassador Volunteer Opportunities:
CCP Information Nights at High Schools (October-February)- During the school year, we will be attending CCP Information Nights at the area high schools and invite CCP Penguin Ambassadors to attend as well to talk about their student experience.
CCP Information Nights at YSU (Fall semester) - This year we are hosting two CCP Information Nights on the YSU campus.
CCP Orientation & Advising Days (Summer 2018) - CCP Penguin Ambassadors play a crucial role during these days to help the new CCP students prepare to start in the CCP program and register for classes.
CCP Office - Occasionally during certain times of the year, we have a lot going on in the CCP office and seek out additional help to complete mailings, make phone calls, help us plan for the next year, etc.
Resource Fair Tables - Throughout the year, CCP gets invited to have a table during the resource fair at recruitment events taking place on campus (Crash Days, Honors College Open House, IGNITE (orientation), etc.). A CCP staff member goes to represent the office, but we like to include a couple CCP Penguin Ambassadors as well.
