YSU requires a syllabus to be distributed to each student at the beginning of each course. The syllabus serves as the official document and explains the specific objectives and goals of the course. It is important that the syllabus presents clear expectations and objectives for students. Review and explain the course syllabus in the first class meeting of each course and as needed.
YSU academic departments provide guidance and a sample of what is to be included in the syllabus. Once the department has given final approval, submit a copy of the syllabus to the CCP office.
