You'll have hands-on access to a wide range of sophisticated instrumenttion and facilities, including various spectroscopy methods, mass spectrometers, gas chromatography equipment, transmission and scanning electron microscopes, and an X-ray diffraction facility that is among the best in the nation.

    Graduate students are exposed to new techniques, applications and chemical instrumentation that enhance prospects for applying to/for Ph.D. programs, professional schools (medical, pharmacy, dental, etc.) and, industrial managerial positions. Graduate students will improve their communication skills both orally and in writing about their independent research and through the teaching experience.
