Pipino Performing Arts Series Presents "My Sister's Keeper"

Youngstown State University’s Cliffe College of Creative Arts announces, as part of the Pipino Performing Arts Series, the performance of "My Sister's Keeper," 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 8 at St. Patrick's Church on Oak Hill in Youngstown.

In 2018, a team of performing scholars conceived and developed the My Sister's Keeper project to explore African American women composers through the lens of African American women musicians. Drs. Minnita Daniel Cox; Alexis Davis-Hazell; Marcia Porter; and Rosalyn Wright Floyd have presented for national audiences via the National Association of Teachers of Singing and the National Opera Association and are pleased to present the project's next chapter.

The Pipino Performing Arts Series is known for bringing high-quality, thought-provoking performances to the Youngstown community. "My Sister's Keeper" offers attendees a chance to engage with meaningful storytelling and exceptional artistry.

Tickets for "My Sister's Keeper" are available for purchase at the door and online or by calling (330) 941-2307. For more information about the Pipino Performing Arts Series and other upcoming events, visit ysu.edu/pipino.
