Bio:
Cellist Robin Treybig performs as a soloist, chamber musician and orchestral player throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. She has served as the assistant principal of the Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra, principal cellist of the Butler County Symphony and interim principal cellist of the Youngstown Symphony. Robin is a substitute cellist with the Nashville Opera Orchestra, the Erie Philharmonic and the Wheeling Symphony. As a member of the Magisterra Soloists, she performed solo and chamber music concerts in Toronto and London, Ontario. With the Holter Festival, Robin performed in a concert tour of Italy to audiences in Sacile, Pordenone and Trieste. Robin has also concertized in Germany, with the Pfalztheater Opera Orchestra and the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt. Robin has shared the stage with some of today’s most popular artists including the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Josh Groban and Michael Bublé. She appears on soundtracks for award-winning independent films and has composed solo cello music for the live stage. In 2018, Robin was named “Emerging Artist of 2018” by Symphony Magazine.
A native of Western New York, Robin’s early studies included lessons with Robert Haussmann of the Buffalo Philharmonic and cellist Bruce Cramer. She earned her Master of Music degree from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music where she studied with Lee Fiser. Prior to her studies at CCM, Robin earned a Bachelor of Music degree from the Baldwin-Wallace University Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of renowned soloist, Regina Mushabac. Throughout her studies, she attended major music festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, National Orchestral Institute and the American Institute for Musical Studies in Graz, Austria.
