Penguins galore!
Q: What happens when you get nearly 1,000 people to dress up as Penguins and waddle around WATTS on a rainy Saturday morning?

A: You set a new Guinness World Record!

Officially, 972 people showed up to break the record for most people dressed as penguins in one place. The previous record was 624. We’re still waiting for the official thumbs up - er, maybe “flipper up”? - from the folks at Guinness, but, way to go! The achievement received around-the-world news coverage.

Hoopin’ holidays
Catch some holiday women’s hoop action at Beeghly Center. The women Penguins play Dec. 16, 20, 28 and 30. Check out www.sports.com for details. On the other hand, the Penguin men spend the month of December on the road.

BoT meetings
The YSU Board of Trustees’ committees meet all day Wednesday, Dec. 6, starting at 8:30 a.m. in the board meeting room on the first floor of Tod Hall. The official quarterly meeting is the next day, 3 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 7, same location. See agendas at www.ysu.edu/board-of-trustees.
