Airport Pick-up

After you receive your visa, make your travel arrangements for Youngstown, Ohio. It is most efficient to arrive directly, or by connecting flight, at one of the following airports: Akron, Cleveland or Pittsburgh. Greyhound bus service is also available directly to Youngstown, visit greyhound.com for more information. There are also private transportation providers.  Be prepared to pay between $90-$175 USD for transport from the Pittsburgh/Cleveland airports .  

The International Programs Office (IPO) will provide free airport pick-up for new international students ONLY from the Pittsburgh airport. We will send you the airport pick-up schedule via email. When registering for free airport pick-up you must provide your detailed flight details (flight number and carrier) as well as your exact drop-off location (dormitory, apartment, hotel).

NOTE:  You may only enter the United States a maximum of 30 days prior to the reporting date on your I-20 (or DS-2019). We recommend that you arrive at least 5 days before orientation in order to complete necessary activities, such as settling into your residence hall or apartment, setting up a bank account, obtaining your student ID and attending MANDATORY Check-in and Orientation.
