Lake to River Science Day is the student focused scientific inquiry and technological design project-based STEM education for NE Ohio students. The district competition has been held at Youngstown State University for more than 30 years for Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties.
Students from public and private schools in grades five through twelve present science projects to compete for a variety of locally-contributed prizes at District 15 Lake-to-River Science Day. Students whose projects are judged to be superior are advanced to the State Science Fair where they compete for awards that include college scholarships.
Each year at the end of March, students from public and private schools in grades five through twelve present science projects to compete for a variety of locally-contributed prizes at District 15 Lake-to-River Science Day and to qualify for State competition. Sponsors for Lake to River Science Day donate prize awards or money that go directly to the students. Become a sponsor today and encourage the students in our region to continue learning and striving for to understand the world around us.
