ADMETE Overview
The lack of trusted, U.S. based foundries has become a significant concern for the U.S. Department of Defense. The Air Force must ensure that microelectronics systems from commercial foundries are trusted, assured, and protected. To meet this demand, a thriving workforce of digital design engineers, well familiar with assured and trusted systems, is required. The Assured Digital Microelectronics Education and Training Ecosystem (ADMETE) program seeks to develop a pipeline of trained engineering professionals with the required skills in assured and trusted microelectronics solutions. Microelectronics is taught in the Electrical Engineering Technology or the Electrical Engineering programs at YSU.
ADMETE is creating an ecosystem to inform, engage and recruit learners. This grant-funded program provides co-ops and internships, undergraduate and graduate research opportunities, access to state-of-the-art technology and direct support from exemplary faculty.
