Dr. Zefeng Lyu is an Assistant Professor in the Rayen School of Engineering at Youngstown State University. He earned his Ph.D. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), after completing his B.S. degree in Industrial Engineering at Zhejiang University of Technology. Prior to joining YSU, he was a Post-Doctoral Research Associate at UTK.
Dr. Lyu's research interests include optimization methods and machine learning, with applications in vehicle routing, infrastructure maintenance, and workforce scheduling.
His teaching interests include facilities planning, project management, as well as machine learning and data analytics for engineers.
