Welcomes Susan M. Moorer

Susan has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Youngstown State University in
Communication, and. img_2022_05_01_13_25_07.jpg a Master of Science Degree in Organizational Leadership, from Geneva College. Susan is also a candidate in the Doctor of Educational Leadership Program, at Youngstown State University. She most recently served as the Assistant Director for Student Advocacy & Support, and the Development Officer for WYSU FM - 88.5. She has worked for YSU for a total of sixteen years, in various capacities and departments, such as Coordinator of Outreach & Assessment, for the Beeghly College of Education, and the Coordinator of Diversity Initiatives, for the Office of Equal Opportunity & Diversity. Susan currently is working with students and the community in the following areas:

  1.  Diversity programming, such as Dr. Martin Luther King Observance
  2.  Women’s History Month
  3.  Black History Month
  4. Advisor to the DEI Advisory Board

“One of the things that I like most about my job is developing programs that will enrich the student body and the community with culturally appropriate programs”.

Her hobby is community/public service, and she currently serves on several board of directors.

  • Mahoning County Convention & Visitor’s Bureau
  • YWCA Mahoning Valley
  • She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. &The Youngstown Chapter of the Links, Incorporated.

   Susan has one son, Christopher, who presently resides in Youngstown.
