Wednesday, Dec. 14, 7 p.m. YSU men’s basketball teams takes on Niagara in Beeghly Center.

Friday and Saturday, Dec. 16 and 17, 8 p.m. The YSU Ward Beecher Planetarium presents “Holiday Lights.” The planetarium also shows “The Alien Who Stole Christmas” at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17. Free.

Saturday, Dec. 17, noon. YSU women’s basketball faces Cornell in Beeghly Center.

Sunday, Dec. 18, 2 p.m. Sam Covelli, whose company is the world’s single largest franchisee of Panera Bread restaurants and employs more than 35,000 people, receives an honorary degree and will speak at YSU’s Fall Commencement in Beeghly Center on campus. Olivia Johnson, who receives a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology, is the student speaker.
