Former YSU President Honored by Rich Center for Autism
Dr. Cynthia Anderson recognized for her instrumental role in the formation of The Rich Center
On August 21, Dr. Cynthia Anderson, former president of Youngstown State University, attended the Rich Center Donor Recognition Event at The Lake Club as the Guest of Honor and was presented with an award acknowledging her dedication to helping the formation of the Center in the mid-1990's.
As the Rich Center approaches its 30-year anniversary, we recognize that without the efforts of individuals like Dr. Anderson, our existence and ability to serve our community would not have the impact we do today.
"It is such an honor and a privilege to be associated with the Rich Center for Autism located at Youngstown State University," Dr. Anderson said. "A program that began with one classroom, evolved into a phenomenal Center that has made a tremendous impact on the lives of so many."
Dr. Anderson commented on the vast reach the Rich Center has throughout Ohio and beyond.
"Through the endless dedication and commitment of the founders, our wonderful staff, and our very supportive community, the Rich Center has truly become an educational and life model program throughout our country and our world."
Those in attendance at the event included current Youngstown State University President Bill Johnson, First Lady LeeAnn Johnson, Rich Center founders, board members, staff, donors, supporters, friends and family.
The Rich Center extends its sincerest thanks to Dr. Anderson for her support and to all our supporters who have contributed to our success since being founded in 1995.
