Excellence Training Center at YSU receives Burton D. Morgan Foundation grant
The Excellence Training Center at Youngstown State University has received a $10,000 grant to support entrepreneurial pathways, co-curricular offerings and microgrants from the Burton D. Morgan Foundation.
The ETC grant is part of close to $1.7 million dollars in grants for initiatives to support entrepreneurs and entrepreneurship education in Northeast Ohio recently awarded by the Burton D. Morgan Foundation.
“We are excited to support Northeast Ohio’s entrepreneurial ecosystem with this package of grants for organizations representing youth, collegiate and adult entrepreneurship programming,” commented Foundation President and CEO Dan Hampu. “We look forward to learning of the impact of these grants on our community and its diverse and talented group of entrepreneurs.”
YSU’s ETC is a workforce, education, research and commercial center focused on advanced manufacturing. Career pathways for all types of students include traditional and non-traditional certifications and industry recognized credentials offered in a wide range of areas such as IT, manual and CNC machining, industrial maintenance, robotics, automation and additive manufacturing.
