University programs may involve minors on campus. It is important to have an adequate amount of staff for supervision. The following are supervision ratios (listed as child:adult) as recommended by the standards of the American Camp Association (ACA).
- Overnight
- Ages 4-5, 5:1
- Ages 6-8, 6:1
- Ages 9-12: 8:1
- Ages 15-18: 10:1
- Day (non-residence)
- Ages 4-5, 6:1
- Ages 6-8, 8:1
- Ages 9-12: 10:1
- Ages 15-18: 12:1
