What is Online Learning?

Online Learning is defined at YSU as instruction offered by any means where the student and faculty member are in separate physical locations or are using educational technology, such as a learning management or video conferencing system to complete coursework and attend course meetings.

There are various ways in which learning at a distance can be achieved. YSU uses the following categories to more clearly define these learning environments:  Tiny man standing on palm of a hand pointing at globe.
