Are you eligible to participate in College Credit Plus and be admitted to YSU?
Beginning with applications for the summer 2025 term, students meet state eligibility and YSU admission criteria if they meet one of the following pathways:
- Test Optional: Students with a minimum unweighted, overall high school GPA of 3.0 and a minimum core* GPA of 2.0 are eligible; no test scores are required.
-
Test Required: Students with a minimum unweighted, overall high school GPA of 2.0, and a minimum core GPA of 2.0, and meet one of the six following college readiness benchmarks:
- ACT English score of 18
-
ACT MATH score of 22
-
ACT Reading score of 22
-
SAT Evidence-based Reading & Writing score of 480
-
SAT MATH score of 530
- YSU Accuplacer Reading score of 250 (free through YSU; see more information below)
-
CCP Transfer: Have an overall college GPA of 2.0 from another college/university, plus an overall, unweighted HS GPA of 2.75 and core GPA of 2.0. Students not meeting the GPA requirements must qualify under the Test Required category.
*A core GPA uses grades only from English, math, science, social studies, and any foreign language classes completed.
Note: Middle school students must provide their report card and a test score meeting a college readiness benchmark to be considered for admission. We do not round GPAs.
If you cannot answer yes to any of the three options above, you are not eligible for College Credit Plus.
