School Psychology EdS

Learn how to make a lasting difference in children's lives and positively impact their future success by earning your EdS in School Psychology.

What You'll Study

In the School Psychology program, you'll work directly with children to assess, evaluate and support their individual learning needs with prevention and intervention strategies. School psychologists partner with family members, teachers and other professionals to address emotional, social, behavioral and academic issues.

The program emphasizes five core areas:

  1. Dynamic assessment
  2. Consultation and response to intervention
  3. Counseling
  4. Low- and high-incidence disabilities
  5. Role and function of the school psychologist

Your courses will provide you with mastery of skills, values, methods of inquiry and applied clinical experiences. This program is designed with a unique emphasis in low-incidence disabilities. You'll study the current advances in the field of school psychology and education with the most current technology in the field.
