What You'll Study

Develop your marketing and communication skill sets to meet the growing demand for new-media professionals. Our master’s program in Professional Communication combines marketing, communications and professional writing studies into one degree, with dynamic courses like interactive document design, marketing tactics, social media and applied research methods.

Gain real-world experience by working with clients to form effective marketing strategies, performing communication audits and diving into research studies that will have you analyzing quantitative and qualitative data. And experience it all alongside engaged, tech-savvy faculty with diverse professional backgrounds.

Degree

You'll be able to earn your degree in as few as four semesters with flexible scheduling options to meet the needs of working professionals. You will take 20 credit hours in core courses and 12 hours in either the capstone or thesis option.

  • Capstone Track

    This option includes a professional internship, a capstone applied research paper and two courses from at least two of the program areas of communications, writing and marketing.

    If you choose to follow the Thesis option, you will take on a professional internship, thesis prospectus and completed study, and courses from at least two of the program areas.
