"Visioning" features award-winning YSU prof
“Visioning: What’s Getting in Your Way” is the title of a presentation 8 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, in the Williamson College of Business Administration at Youngstown State University.
The event sponsored by the Ohio Small Business Development Center and Export Assistance Network features Marsha Huber, YSU professor of Accounting and the 2018 winner of the American Accounting Association/J. Michael and Mary Anne Cook/Deloitte Foundation Prize for teaching excellence in undergraduate Accounting programs.

Huber earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Ohio University, a master’s degree in Business Administration from Miami University, a master’s degree in Applied Positive Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, a graduate certificate in Creative Studies from State University of New York College at Buffalo (2019), and a doctorate in Hospitality Management from Ohio State University. Huber served as a visiting faculty scholar at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education and was a professor at Otterbein University before joining the YSU faculty in 2010. She is also an active Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Global Management Accountant.
Other awards include YSU Distinguished Professor of Teaching (2014), Beta Alpha Psi Professor of the Year (2013 and 2018), and four national awards for contributions to accounting education: KPMG award for Mentoring (2013); George Krull/Grant Thornton Innovation in Education Award (2012); Canadian Accounting Education, Theall Innovation in Education Award (2011); Bea Sanders AICPA/AAA Innovation in Education Award (2010).
