The Marketing major focuses on the strategic planning and assessment of marketing as well as the management of marketing, sales, advertising, and public relations personnel in a business or other organization.

Marketing revolves around the product or service of the business, promotion of the product, price at which it is sold, and how it is distributed to the customer. Professionals in marketing create and communicate marketing strategies, develop marketing campaigns, and work with sales teams to sell products

The Williamson College of Business Administration offers three programs in Marketing including Marketing, Marketing: Advertising Track, and Marketing: Professional Selling Track. All majors incorporate courses related to best practices in the field such as consumer behavior, marketing analytics, and marketing management.

The Advertising track focuses in on marketing communication, public relations, and creative strategies and the Professional Selling track incorporates classes in professional selling, organizational purchasing, negotiation, and account management
