Women in STEM Speaker

Missing and Murdered, Bones and Big Data will be presented by Heather Edgar, Professor of Anthropology at the University of New Mexico, and the Forensic Anthropologist for the Office of the Medical Investigator for the State of New Mexico. She received her education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (BA), Arizona State University (MA) and Ohio State University (PhD). She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Forensic Anthropology. Her forensic research centers on improving the estimation of population affinity for US groups by incorporating cultural analyses and skeletal data. Her current work concerns addressing the crisis of unidentified American Indian and Hispanic/Latinx human remains.
